Christopher R. Jenkins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has accompanied, ministered to, and helped encourage people of all ages (especially youth and young adults) experiencing a variety of challenges, struggles, and difficulties, in a wide range of different pastoral, clinical, and academic settings for almost 25 years in Richmond. He holds a Masters of Social Work (MSW – Clinical Concentration) and a Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA – Communication Arts & Design) from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Additionally, he holds post-graduate certificates in Spiritual Direction from the Sisters of Bon Secours USA, in Spirituality & Clinical Practice from Catholic University of America, and in Youth Ministry Studies from The Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Chris maintains a small private practice, and continues to teach social work courses as an adjunct professor for Mary Baldwin University’s BSW program. He is an active member of The Virginia Society for Clinical Social Workers and is an approved supervisor with the Virginia Board of Social Work. Before coming to Cristo Rey Richmond, he served as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over a decade. He enjoys hiking with his wife and children. He is excited to support and serve the students and families of Cristo Rey Richmond.
