Support To and Through College

College counseling is provided to inform students about university benefits, requirements, and financial aid. Additionally, students receive guidance and assistance through the whole application and enrollment process including test preparation, completing application, financial forms, registration process, and we continue to offer help while attending college delivering on our promise to support our Cristo Rey Richmond  alum “To and Through College.”

College Counseling Philosophy

Our comprehensive college counseling program provides the means for our graduates to attend the best colleges, with zero to low debt, affording them the opportunity to maximize their employability upon earning their Bachelor’s degree. Cristo Rey Richmond students look forward to attending college and recognize that critical doors open and limitless opportunities arise when a college degree is earned.

Meet Our Director of College & Alumni Advising

Janice WalkerJanice Walker is a native of Baltimore, MD by way of Queens, NY. She graduated from Western High School, the oldest all-female public high school remaining in the United States. Ms. Walker attended Wilberforce University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Chapter. She also has a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Dayton, a CRN University Partner via the Dual-Degree STEM Program, and received her MBA degree from the University of Phoenix.  Additionally, Ms. Walker is a Certified College Advisor through the Teachers College of Columbia University. Her passion is assisting parents and their students in Grades 9th-12th on their journey to college.
