After graduating from The University of Virginia, Catherine McSorley moved to New York City to begin a ten year career with The Coca-Cola Company. She enjoyed managing customer accounts including The US Open Tennis Tournament, the Statue of Liberty and a national restaurant chain with 2,100 franchisees, working in national account sales, leadership and operations management roles. As a contract public speaker for Monster.com, she talked to high school freshmen about “Making It Count,” a motivational program. Her passion for young people and education was cultivated by years of volunteer work in her kids’ schools and extracurricular organizations and led her to Cristo Rey in our first year, where she joined the Corporate Work Study Program staff. She held several different positions including Director of Corporate Work Study Program Operations, navigating the program out of the pandemic, returning to in-person student work experiences and helping build the program to support the school’s growth.
Catherine is a proud Navy mom with two kids currently serving in active duty on different coasts. In her free time, she loves cycling, kayaking and paddle boarding.
