Willnette Pegram is a native of Richmond, VA. She earned her BS in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her experience working in Circuit and U.S. Bankruptcy Court afforded her the opportunity to learn the justice system and understand the importance of professionalism. Ms. Pegram was a paralegal for five years with Nationwide Insurance Trial Division and the Public Defender’s Office in Tampa, FL. Upon moving back to Richmond, VA, Ms. Pegram began her journey in the nonprofit world working for Communities In Schools of Richmond as a Site Coordinator at G.W. Carver Elementary School and then a Program Director for Elementary Schools where she managed multiple schools. Coordinating programs, implementing processes, building, and sustaining relationships are Ms. Pegram’s key areas of expertise that she brings to Cristo Rey. She is also a licensed minister of dance (liturgical) and enjoys making connections and helping young people discover their potential.
