Kevin Comly studied literature, film, philosophy, and music at Temple University. After receiving a BA in English, he taught music in Philadelphia preschools before moving to Richmond with his wife, Jessie. In Richmond, Mr. Comly taught English Language Arts in Richmond Public Schools before finding his way to Cristo Rey Richmond High School in the fall of 2022. The Jesuit mission of CRR reconnected Mr. Comly to his own experience as a high school student at a Jesuit school. Now in his tenth year as an educator, his approach to teaching is deeply informed by cura personalis, the Jesuit concept of caring for the entire person. Outside of teaching, Kevin is a sports fan, a reader, a musician, and a lover of film, television, food, and video games. He and his wife have a small old home with three super cool cats and two goofy chickens.
