Kris Caplinger derives from the great state of Iowa (and is a huge Hawkeye fan!). She is a graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania where she studied Business and Communications and was a member of the women’s basketball team. Mrs. Caplinger began her career in sales for Manheim Auctions in San Antonio, TX before relocating to Virginia with her Navy husband (and high school sweetheart). She has spent the majority of her career in the finance industry where she worked in mortgage lending, banking, and investments. She operated with her Series 6 and 63 licenses, managed a national customer retention department, and oversaw customer relations and business development.
Community outreach and volunteering has long been a large part of Mrs. Caplinger’s life. She enjoys donating her time and service to local organizations, particularly youth programs, including serving on the Board, coaching, and heading the basketball program for the Glen Allen Youth Athletic Assoc. for 13 years. Her greatest passions are her husband and four daughters. They love to travel, play sports, attend concerts & MLB games, and simply spend time together. She is excited to be a part of the incredible Cristo Rey mission surrounded by such exuberant, gifted, and dedicated colleagues and scholars.
