Steve Benedetti

Steve Benedetti has a distinguished career in financial management and leadership. He recently retired after serving for 28 years at Dynex Capital, a publicly traded mortgage investment firm, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He also served as Controller and Treasurer at Dynex. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at the National Housing Partnership and Deloitte Touche.

Mr. Benedetti is a 1981 graduate of Benedictine High School and earned a BS in Accounting from Virginia Tech in 1985. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. He has a record of serving on the Boards or Committees of Commonwealth Catholic Charities, the Little Sisters of the Poor and Bon Secours Richmond Health System. He and his wife, Heather, have 2 grown children, Christopher and Caroline, and are members of St Edward Parish.
